On behalf of the Parish Council of Blindcrake, Welcome! Our Parish, which lies at the Northwestern limit of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria, comprises the village of Blindcrake, the hamlets of Redmain and Sunderland, and Isel. This website provides details of the activities of the Parish Council, local events and general information.

All events are held in Blindcrake Village Hall unless otherwise stated. The cost of hiring the village hall is £7 per hour (£3.50 for half-hour) for meetings, classes or workshops and £10 per hour for parties and events. There is a returnable deposit on bookings (£50-£100, depending on event), returned in full if the hall is left clean and tidy. 23rd Mar 2019 20.00-23.00 The Evening Inn  Evening Inn Village Pub. The Evening Inn sessions will restart in September - watch this space.
11th Aug 2019 14.30-17.00 Summer Puddings Afternoon at The Old School House. Tickets at £8 (primary scholars, £4) from Ann Thompson (01900 823763), Margaret Mossop (01900 823492) or Elaine Marrs (01900 824754). Proceeds to the Isel Church Funds.
18th Aug 2019 13.00-17.00 Art@ Blindcrake Open Studios. This year's exhibitions will feature Joan Prickett and Lindsay Storstein (Fine Art) and Dave Blanden (Woodturned Artefacts) in The Barn Gallery and Keith Snell (Natural World Photography) in Skiddaw View. The exhibitions will run every day until 26th August. An event poster is displayed on the Gallery webpage and profiles of the artists are featured on the Art Trail webpage (click on the menu above). FREE ENTRY.
Refreshments will be available at the village hall each day of the event, from 3 - 4:30pm, with all takings to benefit village hall funds.
16th Sep 2019 19.30 Parish Council meeting. All parishioners are welcome and may raise any relevant issues at the start of the meeting.
