On behalf of the Parish Council of Blindcrake, Welcome! Our Parish, which lies at the Northwestern limit of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria, comprises the village of Blindcrake, the hamlets of Redmain and Sunderland, and Isel. This website provides details of the activities of the Parish Council, local events and general information.

Events

All events are held in Blindcrake Village Hall unless otherwise stated. The cost of hiring the village hall is £7 per hour (£3.50 for half-hour) for meetings, classes or workshops and £10 per hour for parties and events. There is a returnable deposit on bookings (£50-£100, depending on event), returned in full if the hall is left clean and tidy. 19.00-20.00 Pilates sessions. Every Tuesday. Come along and join up.
Setmurthy Woods Visitor Information. Dog walkers and others visiting Setmurthy woods should be aware of Forestry England's plans to redevelop the woods and restrict access. The plan can be downloaded from the Council>Publications webpage.
15th Feb 2020 20.00-23.00 The Evening Inn  Evening Inn Village Pub. The usual range of craft beers and fine wines, as well as convivial company, the usual quiz and good craic!
28th Feb 2020 19.15 QUIZ NIGHT. Tickets £5 (to include table snacks; BYOB). Raffle and Bring & Buy Book Stall. Tickets from Sue Buckwell (01768 776056, sue.buckwell@btopenworld.com) or Ian Rousell (01228 711558).
9th Mar 2020 19.30 Village Hall Management Committee meeting.
16th Mar 2020 19.30 Parish Council meeting. All parishioners are welcome and may raise any relevant business at the beginning of the meeting. The agenda is on the Council webpage.
21st Mar 2020 20.00-23.00 D:Funk'd Live Band. Entry £5 (£2.50 under 12) - licenced bar and lite bites for sale. Tickets from Rachel Mossop (07763 181496, rachelmossop@hotmail.co.uk) or Ros Berry (01900 828384, ros.berry@btinternet.co.uk) or on the door. Proceeds to the Village Hall Refurbishment.
28th Jun 2020 10.00-16.30 Garden Safari. If you want to be involved in any way, please contact Rachel McConkey or Sue Eastham. Request for gardeners in the parish to save suplus cuttings, seeds etc. for the Plant Stall, please.
