On behalf of the Parish Council of Blindcrake, Welcome! Our Parish, which lies at the Northwestern limit of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria, comprises the village of Blindcrake, the hamlets of Redmain and Sunderland, and Isel. This website provides details of the activities of the Parish Council, local events and general information.

Events

All events are held in Blindcrake Village Hall unless otherwise stated. The cost of hiring the village hall is £7 per hour (£3.50 for half-hour) for meetings, classes or workshops and £10 per hour for parties and events. There is a returnable deposit on bookings (£50-£100, depending on event), returned in full if the hall is left clean and tidy. 19.00-20.00 Pilates sessions. Every Tuesday. Come along and join up.
8th Dec 2018 20.00-23.00 The Evening Inn  Evening Inn Village Pub.  Come along for cask beers, fine wine and amazing craic! And not forgetting the inevitable Pub Quiz too.
14th Dec 2018 10.30 Isel Ladies Coffee Morning. At Moota Great Escape Café.
16th Dec 2018 16.00 Candlelight Christmas Carol Service at Isel Church. To be followed by seasonal refreshments. All welcome.
17th Dec 2018 18.30 Blindcrake Village Hall Christmas Draw. The BIG raffle, plus Christmas pressie stalls, cake stall, mince pies & tea/coffee or mulled wine, 'guess and win' games, bottle tombola and Christmas music. Come along and enjoy the Christmas festivities. Donations to the cake stall are welcomed. All proceeds go towards the Village Hall refurbishment fund.
17th Dec 2018 12.00 Isel Ladies Who Lunch. At Moota Great Escape café.
21st Jan 2019 19.30 Parish Council Meeting. All parishioners are welcome to attend. There is an opportunity at the beginning of the meeting to raise any local issue(s) of concern. United Utilities will be present to update their plans.
26th Jan 2019 19.00 Blindcrake Burns Night Supper. Traditional two-course supper with whisky toasts followed by Scottish country dancing (no experience necessary!). Adult £10; children £5 (primary) or £7.50 (secondary). Tables available at £70 for 8. Tickets from Rachel Mossop 07763 181496 or rachelmossop@hotmail.co.uk.
