On behalf of the Parish Council of Blindcrake, Welcome! Our Parish, which lies at the Northwestern limit of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria, comprises the village of Blindcrake, the hamlets of Redmain and Sunderland, and Isel. This website provides details of the activities of the Parish Council, local events and general information.

All events are held in Blindcrake Village Hall unless otherwise stated. The cost of hiring the village hall is £7 per hour (£3.50 for half-hour) for meetings, classes or workshops and £10 per hour for parties and events. There is a returnable deposit on bookings (£50-£100, depending on event), returned in full if the hall is left clean and tidy. 6th Mar 2019 Cricket Club Annual General Meeting.
18th Mar 2019 19.30 Parish Council Meeting. All parishioners are welcome to attend. There is an opportunity at the beginning of the meeting to raise any local issue(s) of concern. United Utilities will be present to update their plans.
23rd Mar 2019 20.00-23.00 The Evening Inn  Evening Inn Village Pub.  Come along for cask beers, fine wine and amazing craic! And this month - LIVE MUSIC with singer Geneva.
29th Mar 2019 19.00 National Parks of the Western USA. Slide show by Rod Moore, in aid of Isel Church. Donations on the door.
13th Apr 2019 10.30-16.30 Bread-making for Beginners. One-day course to learn hand-baking of bread. £25 including lunch, age 15 upwards. Places limited to 10. Contact Rachel on 07503 763590 (text message please). There will be a repeat workshop for families later in the year.
26th Apr 2019 19.00 Village Ceilidh, with the Allerdale Fiddlers. Dance (or listen) to toe-tapping music! Profits to village hall funds and Hospice At Home. £7 adult; £5 u-17; £20 family ticket (2+2) - to include finger buffet. Bar available.
